Abstract EN

This study deals with "the political leadership and its role in achieving societal change" focusing on Algeria; as a research sample.

in the actual era and under the social, economic and political conditions that the underdeveloped societies know, such as; the lack of stability in all domains, because of the intervention of a number of internal and external factors which contributed in one way or another to the deterioration of the general situation of peoples and societies.

these circumstances require important political decisions that dispel fear of the future and the alienation within the homeland; moreover, they strengthen the confidence factor between the authority and individuals.

thus, the political leadership will have a great importance for a peaceful and meaningful community change in the interests of the citizen and his government.
