As a part of the modernization of the general facility in Algeria, which was imposed by a number of variables, the most important of which is the technological revolution in information technology, the process of digitizing the local administration represented in the municipality was one of the first concerns of the Algerian state to modernize the public services provided to the citizen, and which was manifested in the creation of the national automated registry of the civil status, which contributed to the exemption of citizens from submitting civil status documents to the administration associated with this registry, the administrative documents were also transferred to electronic documents in addition to the launch of services over the internet networks in order to bring the administration closer to the citizen.
