Abstract EN

Increasing global, regional and national interest in the environmental dimension of development.

However, activating the process of preserving the environment and ensuring the continuation of the development process is based on an important element, which is the individual and his environmental awareness.

Given the importance of this topic, this study was based on the premise that adopting the green economy model would contribute to achieving sustainable development, reducing poverty and achieving justice as well as “preserving the environment.

” Iraq has many capabilities that make it able to reach sustainable development In the year 2030, many projects can be adopted through which it works to implement the green system and try to reach development.

The research aims to identify the complementary and interactive relationships between green economy and sustainable development using co integration with VAR technology.

In the long term, building a green economy and achieving sustainable development is achieved.

However, the conviction that achieving sustainable development must be based on the green economy, thus making the reciprocal relationship between the two variables and the dependence on them for the advancement of the local economy.
