Abstract EN

Achieving food security is one of the major challenges in the Arab countries, in spite of the uneven availability of natural resources and human resources, the Arab agriculture did not achieve the target increase in production to meet the demand for food, to accommodate the food gap and become Arab States imported about half of its needs of major food commodities, which refers to the increased concerns about high prices, reflected the basic objective of this research reveal the impact of fluctuations in world prices of basic foodstuffs on the Arab production and consumption in order to avoid the negative effects of identifying solutions and policies to be followed to respond to fluctuations in world prices of basic foodstuffs.

Accordingly, we ask the following problem: what are the effects of fluctuations in the prices of basic foodstuffs on production and available for consumption in the Arab world during the period 2007-2017?
