Abstract EN

The policy of management of medical wastes is a sub – sector of health policy system.

The most problems of medical wastes sector in Algeria are closely related to the health policy issues.

Accordingly, we discussed the medical wastes / the wastes of treatment activities in Algeria through its definition, types, sources, methods of treatment and how to manage them in a safe and sustainable manner for the preservation of public health and environment, which is a common heritage of successive generations in accordance with Algerian legislation.

T he study also sheds light on the problems faced by the medical wastes management in Algeria and the mechanisms that contribute to the rationalization of the policy of wastes management.
