Abstract EN

This linguistic study attempts to highlight some of the rhythmic features of Surah al-Falaq.

first, it shows the harmony that results from the accuracy in arranging letters and repeating them according to a certain pattern.

second, it deals with the reasons that lie behind choosing specific words instead of others as well as matching commas in a manner compatible with the general meaning of the Surah.

we began with the definition of the concept of rhythm and its directions according to both ancient and the modernist scholars.

then, we mentioned its elements and functions.

after that, we studied Surah al-Falaq by accentuating some of the rhythmic features that are obvious in the text, relying on that syllabic division of the Surah to study some of the open and closed phonemic syllables.

we also focused on the reason behind its appearance in that form.

in addition, we dealt with commas, rhyming letters and the characteristics of each of them in the Surah.
