This article highlights the nature of the vocabulary offered to the fifth year primary students through the Arabic language book.

The book contains a number of defects and shortcomings related to the words it contains, So that the vocabulary in one text to a greater extent than the orptive capacity of the learner, As well as the abundance of mysterious words within each text In addition, the ence of modern terminology, These are words the learner needs to express his needs.

Accordingly, the selection of words must be based on criteria and controls that take into account the learner's needs and orptive capacities.
