Abstract EN

This study is an attempt to investigate the similarities and differences regarding English and Arabic facebook compliments; namely, lovely expressions.

As English and Arabic are neither genetically cognate nor are related culturally, facebook complimenters inevitably commit mistakes in this regard.

The study comes up with the fact that the Arab coplimenters opt for exaggeration more than the English people do.
