Abstract EN

-The paper deals with the most recent novel of V.S.

Naipaul, Magic Seeds.

The study exposes how Willie Chandran, the protagonist of the novel, develops and changes his attitudes and outlook to the world and its history, and to the societies and individuals to become another person.

This new person has his own identity after being lost among colonial, postcolonial and globalized societies.

At last, he can identify himself as a cosmopolitan figure who can accept himself and others.
