Abstract EN

This study aims to determine the role of corporate governance in improving institutional performance, trying projection this study on Naftal company-Biskra-, through a survey included 72 samples of the managerial employees in institution, using the questionnaire tool, where "Microsoft Excel 2007" used for unloading data and the Statistical Packages for Social Sciences "SPSS V22" for processing data, analyzing and explaining results.

This study concluded that there is an accepted intermediate level of corporate governance in Naftal company, through focusing on moral behavior, control and accountability, disclosure and transparency, this is due to the company's effort to apply governance in a good way, in addition to the accepted intermediate level of performance, as it seeks to maintain high profits through gaining new customers, increasing market share and improving employees' skills.

Therefore, corporate governance has a significant relative importance in improving the performance of the company.
