The image of the intellectual, since the inception of the Arab and Algerian novels until now and the current novels, was diverse and multiple in various contexts.

Indeed, The artistic, s narrative, psychological, ideological, and social treatment of the image is always problematic, because the personality of the intellectual has always been and will remain a problematic one, even when considering the different points of view.

Although the subject has consumed research, it is always a renewed one.

It is one of the most important topics due to the importance of the cultured person himself/herself in society.

To study the image of the intellectual in the Algerian narrative genre, we have chosen a narrative model that is the novel of Gay written by the novelist Rabia Merah to facilitate getting actual results.
