JEL: E6, F0, E2, E3This study aims at highlighting the effects of oil prices collapse on the Algerian economy, considering that Algeria is a country that depends on a single resource in the operation of its economy, which makes it subject to the fluctuations in oil market prices, which affects the country's economic policy.

Thus, the oil shocks that the oil market defines have a severe impact on the Algerian economy, which was reflected in the analysis of the effects of the oil shock of 2014 on the Algerian economy, so that its effects on the overall balance of the Algerian economy, especially the resources control fund as well as the exchange reserve, are reflected.

Algeria must find alternatives to oil in order to maintain the balance of its economy.
