The electoral district is regarded as a reflecting mirror of the extent of integrity of elections.

It also affects their results and representation of the political composition of the parliament.

Therefore, it gained the attention of the Algerian legislator, both in terms of delineating it and in terms of guarantees that prevent its manipulation.

Nevertheless, its role ends with the announcement of results and the approval of its separation from the representatives, which means that the electoral district is a means to an endand not an end itself.

Hence, one can enquire about the benefit of emphasizing a fair and impartial division of it.

The current situation is that the voting system adopted in Algeria recognizes the separation between deputies and these districts based on the principle of sovereignty for the nation in which agency is optional.

As a result, an exaggerated division would be unnecessary, which calls for the adoption of a fair and simple division that meets a geographic organization of the elections.
