Abstract EN

This research aimed to define the concept of the "cause" for Ibn Baraka by his book “Al-Jami`, within its temporal context, which is the fourth century AH.

The importance of the research is evidenced by the fact that the "cause" is a key term, as it has the course of Qiyas.

So the question of the search for the meaning of the"cause" among the advanced Ibadi fundamentalists, and about its functional fields of jurisprudential authorship? The approach used in the study was an inductive statistical of the selected sample.

One of the most important results of the research is the formulation of a definition of the "cause" by Ibn Baraka, and the identification of his functional areas in three: rooting, reasoning, and criticism.
