Abstract EN

Some civilizations of the ancient Near East have dealt with the flood incident, including the different civilizations of Mesopotamia, especially the Sumerian and Babylonian ones.

For the purpose of studying this accident and its geographical extensions within the lands of Mesopotamia, starting from the Persian Gulf and ending in the northernmost part of Mesopotamia, a focus was made on the ancient cities that are compatible with the flood event, as well as studying the geological extensions within the scale of the geological time with finding linguistic interpretations of some of the cuneiform texts and books.

As a result, the study concluded that the flood incident started from the Arabian Gulf and extended south of Baghdad.
