Abstract EN

The offices of the National Liberation Front (FLN) in Europe were the most important media means used by the liberation revolution to counter French colonialism in order to remove the ambiguity surrounding the Algerian issue and to try to counter the policy of opacity applied by France towards Algeria and what it was happening then and there.

Since its founding in 1956 and until 1959, the Lausanne office in Switzerland had been able to achieve a large part of the objectives set out in the statement of First of November 1954 and the Summam Charter which were the internationalization of the Algerian cause; and bringing allies to the revolution, and the isolation of France both in Europe and at the international scene.

The Lausanne Office broke the barrier of Swiss neutrality, and got the support of the Swiss civil society; and even the officials broke the silence and expressed their positions on several issues concerning the Liberation Revolution and mediated during the negotiations between the Algerian and French state.
