A 25-years-old female patient, pregnant 36 weeks, presented to the emergency room at Jordanian field hospital in Afghanistan, with a protruding mass through the burst umbilical hernia of one-week duration.
The pitfalls of the first reported case of a spontaneous burst umbilical hernia due to pregnancy, and other causes of spontaneous burst umbilical hernia will be discussed.
