Abstract EN

This research includes the definition of one of Maghreb scholars who put his mark and spent his life in the favour of the holy Qur'an and its sciences.

this scholar is the Imam Abu Juma'a al-Habty who put the Qur'an’s pause (Waqf), and to highlight his efforts in his busyness with teaching the holy Qur'an, his publications and manuscripts and his pauses which became the distinctive character of the Mus'hafs of the Maghreb countries.

this research has reached several results, including: although the Imam al-Habty was busy throughout his life with teaching the holy Qur'an and its recitations, and training students to recite the letters and knowing the pauses, he left us valuable and blessed works which benefited throughout ages and periods.

among the most famous, his book “Taqyid Waqf Alquran Alkarim” (Restriction of the Qur'an Pause), and that its pauses which have been working in the Mus'hafs of the Maghreb countries since its emergence in the tenth century to the present day.

the most important recommendations of this research: The call to unite the pauses of the Mus'hafs of the Maghreb countries, and taking care of the manuscript heritage of the Imam al-Habty, which is still waiting for exit to light.
