This research aims to study the language functions proposed by contemporary linguists such as Jacobson, Halliday, Buhler, Brinker and others, starting from the functional aspect in the use of communicative language, and study the possibility of compatibility with the Quran language, which is characterized as the sanctity of the source because the author who has spoken the Holy Quran is Allah Almighty.
