Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to highlight the role that ICT has played in modernizing the Algerian banking system by evaluating the availability of the basic elements supporting the electronic banking work in Algeria, especially with regard to the legal resources.

To achieve the objectives of the study both descriptive analysis approache was used.

The study reached several conclusions and the most important is that Algeria has recognized that the advancement and the modernization of its banking system now is imperative, especially with the rapid and continuous development of international banking environment.

The fact that led the Algerian authorities to make significant efforts to upgrade the Algerian banking system through modernizing its services, developing its legal resources of its payment system and taking some institutions as a support to integrate technology in its activity.
