Protection of environment is among the most important issues that interest all human societies owing to what is happening in the environment such as dysfunction in the equilibrium and the appearance of problems of difficult environmental issues which threaten human security and health.

This is requiring from all categories of societies to tackle the issue of environment and to protect it from all risks and threats for the protection of environment is the responsibility of all.

No doubt that the environment media enjoys several means which are available to assume an important role in supporting efforts aiming at environment protection through increasing environmental consciousness and to face the environmental problems, In this article, we try to discover the role that is played by the environmental media in the field of environment protection and to find out the most important challenges that are facing the environment with a special stress on the necessity of activating the mechanisms which are reinforcing this role.
