Abstract EN

Developmental disparity is a negative phenomenon affecting many countries, especially developing countries, where the development indicators in areas better than others in the same country, the reasons for this variance vary, there are historical reasons related to the emergence of the state and its development and also there are economic or social reasons, and there are many theories explaining this phenomenon.

Algeria has been suffering from this problem since independence and is linked mainly to the racial organization followed by colonialism by favoring the areas where the European settlers are located and neglecting the rest of the regions especially the southern, Therefore, Algeria has exerted great efforts since independence to alleviate development disparities, especially with regard to regional planning, as well as encouraging investment in less developed regions.

Some of these efforts have been successful, while many have faced difficulties and obstacles that have rendered them ineffective.
