Abstract EN

The purpose of this article is to define the concept of citizenship education through the curricula of civic education, and how to move the civil concepts from theory to practice, from the school system to the wider system.

The individual passes from birth through several stages during which he interacts with other members of the society where he lives, influenced by prevailing norms and values, he gains experiences that modifies his behavior and develops his personality to play his role effectively as a social person.

School as an educational institution prepares it to play its role; its mission is not only to build and transmit knowledge to learners, but also to prepare citizens and actors to create social ties based on effective citizenship, the foundation of a modern civil state.
