Abstract EN

Many financial experts agree that Iraq could overcome the economic difficulties peacefully if the specialists were given the opportunity to work according to suitable designs.

But such project for development clashes with the large and dominating political parties that cannot wait for long-term plans.

These political masses leave their places in power relatively quickly, therefore, they need to re-market themselves or their candidates through the profits they gain by their positions in the gonernment.

Combining that with the stability in the oil prices, the economics of Iraq is not likely to be ameliorated.

For those reasons the social problems will remain there, and the vital sectors such as agriculture, industry, investment, and the private sector will not witness any real development.

Even if decisions were made to reform some of them, those decisions need honest people and some real will for change.

And that cannot be achieved when the financial corruption witnesses such high rates.

This financial corruption causes the money specified for the cities including Al-Diwanyah to be much less than the amount needed to develop those cities, especially for construction and making proper residence and work for the poor people.

The public dissatisfaction is increasing and relationship between the authority and community people will only become more and more intense and would eventually result in an explosion against the central and local authorities.

So that the Reform of economics by ending the corruption and developing the agriculture, industry and the private sector is a necessity toward real change in the country.

It is in fact, the only way to go over the Iraqi economic hardships.
