We cannot establish any concept of artistic image away from imagination because it is the power that melts, vanishes and collapses in order to re-create itself, without cancelling the role of mind whose position is in contradiction with the conscience.

Hence, the imagination can be considered as a vital energy that mediates between sensation and perception.

Indeed, Chebbi makes it provide the human spirit with the necessary nourishment.

The true poet is the one who does not portray himself apart/far from himself, nor does he rely on ready-made formulas, but rather innovates, creates and imagine according to what he sees and feels.

This research, and in a retrospective reading, attempts to uncover some dimensions of the image in the Algerian artistic aphoristic discourse before 1962 AD, in light of historical circumstances, social, cultural and psychological conditions that the Algerian poet endured.
