Abstract AR
Abstract EN
During World War II, the situation in Syria worsened and became more turbulent, as France, present in front of the German army, was blessed to implement the provisions of the treaty concluded with Syria in 1936, and claimed that international situations require it to rule Syria directly, and because of the change in the political and military situations of the warring countries, it helped International conditions to achieve Syrian demands, as the Free France forces, with the help of the British forces in 1941, defeated the Vichy forces present in Syria, so General Catroux announced the end of the mandate and the independence of Syria on June 8, 1941, and Britain supported this declaration, but this independence was formal, and it was not long Even the conflict erupted between the French and the British because of political interests And the economic situation in Syria, as the British began to reveal their activities in Syria, increase their contacts with the Syrian patriots, and incite the Syrian people to expel the French from their country, and the competition between the two countries continued until 1944 after the intervention of the United States of America and the international community and forcing the French and British to end the conflict between them, and let the Syrian poetry decide and grate.
