Abstract EN
The output power of a high concentration photovoltaic (HCPV) system is very sensitive to fluctuating tracking errors and weather patterns.
To help compensate this shortcoming, supercapacitors have been successfully incorporated into photovoltaic systems to improve their output power stability.
This study examined the output power stability improvement of an HCPV module with a supercapacitor integrated into its circuit.
Furthermore, the equivalent model of the experimental circuit is presented and analyzed.
Experimental results suggest that integrating a supercapacitor into an HCPV module could improve its output power stability and further extend its acceptance angle.
This paper provides preliminary data of the improvement and its evaluation method, which could be utilized for further improvements to an HCPV system.
