The aim of the present research is to investigate the effect of using Posner model in mathematical thinking among second grade students in mathematics.

Sample (64)from Baghdad, nd Alkharhk, (2018-2019) To represent the two research groups, where the number of female students (32) students in each group, the researcher chose a design "experimental partial control, from an experimental variable is (Posner model) and a dependent variable (mathematical thinking), and members of the two groups were rewarded with variables (chronological age The previous experience, the mathematical thinking test), also required the preparation of a mathematical thinking test, the number of paragraphs of (20) paragraphs.

It was then presented to a group of arbitrators and represented in their account.

(0.73).

the results showed that the experimental group studied according to Posner's model surpassed the peers in the control group which studied the usual way in the mathematical thinking test.
