This study is a content analysis of the material written and drawn on folding tables by female students at the United Arab Emirates University.

Generally, the results or this study have indicated that the written materials were the most prevalent (69.94 percent), while the drawn materials represented 30.06 percent.

The most prevalent written materials were: female names (13.5 percent), English words (13 percent), Arabic words (10.9 percent), numbers (9.3 percent), English letters (9.2 percent)/ and songs (7.7 percent).

The most prevalent drawn materials were circles and squares (23.2 percent), trees and flowers (22 percent), eyes (12.8 percent), and female faces (9.5 percent).

It was determined that writing and drawing on the tables gave the female students a chance to express their likes or dislikes and hopes or despair.

They also expressed feelings about classes, lectures, and exams.

The study also revealed also that the writings and drawings can provide a means for cheating ■
