The researcher started his thesis by talking about the concept of social networking sites, their origin, characteristics, and their influence.

then he clarified the religious, ideological, ethical and social limits for using these sites.

he explained the motivations of extremism and terrorism, talking about the personal, psychological, intellectual, social and economic motives.

he also tackled the most important aspects of extremism and terrorism on social media like text abuse, applying the rulings of old incidents to new ones, repressing the opposing opinions and accusing them of infidelity, decorating radical ideas, distorting and stigmatizing the opponents, the rudeness and harshness and the use of bright slogans.

the researcher focused on how extremist groups used the social media, and the modern methods of the terrorist organizations and how to face them.
