Abstract EN

The economic system in Islam has called for the building of social peace by declaring the close interdependence between economic gains and moral values, the moderation between individualism and collectiveism, the equitable distribution of economic wealth, the call for compassion and social solidarity, the consolidation of the principles of tolerance and facilitation in economic transactions, the care for the performance of financial rights, and the establishment of beneficial projects.

the economic system in Islam has also been keen to protect society from any threat to its peace or weaken its stability, by protecting funds, fighting poverty, confronting unemployment, preventing Haraam gain, monopoly, exploitation, warning of scarcity and extravagance, preventing private property in things necessary for the general public, and ensuring the economic independence of the Islamic nation.

the aim of this research is to demonstrate the mission of some Islamic economic legislation in building and protecting social peace.

the research emphasized the need to strengthen social ties through economic transactions that are keen to establish beneficial interests, contribute to bridging the differences between members of society and seek justice among them.

the research also called for adherence to ethical values that govern financial behaviour, and for action to contribute to economic independence and social peace.
