Abstract EN

The aim of the research is to identify the causal relationship between the growth rate of money supply (MS2) and the rate of inflation in the Iraqi economy for the period (1990-2017), using the causality of Granger to determine the direction of causality of the variables and the relationship between them, using the co-integration test, and (ECM) in the short and long term.

The results indicated a common integration between the broad growth rate of money supply and the rate of inflation, showing that there is no effect of the growth rate of money supply in the long-term inflation rate in contrast to short-term, there is a Two-way causal relationship between the growth rate of money supply and inflation.
