Abstract EN

The purpose of the study is to investigate the training needs of specialists and psychological counselors in public and private hospital in Al-Riyadh city.

The sample of the study consisted of (126) specialists and psychological counselors working in public and private hospital in Al-Riyadh city.

The researcher Administrated a questionnaire consisted of (41 items divided into three domains.

The findings of the study showed that the means ranged between (2.19- 2.42) with an average need while, the knowledge domain came first with a mean of (2, 42) and the applied domain came in the last rank with a mean of (2.19).

Moreover, there were significant statistical differences at the level of (α =0.05) attributed to gender in favor of females except for the applied domain.

There were significant statistical differences at the level of (α =0.05) attributed to scientific qualification in favor of master degree in triaging domain, while, there were no significant statistical differences at the level of (α =0.05) attributed to experience.

Base don the findings the researcher presented several recommendations
