The study aims to detect the transformations the act of reading witnessed during the digital age.

This will be done by highlighting the impact of the digital age on reading practices which have become unprecedentedly dependent on the digital electronic medium in its connection to the Internet in exchange for the neglect and abandonment of the traditional paper medium.

Therefore, the study tackles the issue of readability in the light of the challenges of the digital age, and its reflection on the nature of the components of the literary creative process.

This has moved from the paper phase to the digital phase.

Adding to that the scientific debate that took place between those who are for digital reading since it stands for the digital age and its generation, and those who are against it believing that paper reading is much more authentic and can never be dispensed or eliminated.

The study also showed the tremendous potential provided by the various modern means of communication on the Internet to obtain information and news in various fields of knowledge in a short period of time and at a lower cost.
