Abstract EN

The importance of Islands of Southeast Asia appears via its trade and navigation position, in addition to its communication relation between Arab countries, China and India.

It uses transit situations on those islands' ports for ex.

(Cla Bar, Palembang and Java etc.) These travellers were landing on these islands to provide water for drinking during their long journey to China and vice versa.

Its trade significance put these islands on the top; to illustrate this, we find Indian traders and other Arab navigator reached to these islands (Malay Archipelago).

They attracted to these countries for their agricultural assets and business resource abundance.

There is no doubt that trading spices and other valuable things were the center of these trading.

Trading such these things shows the vital role which Arab Muslims specially traders play in spreading Islam on islands of Southeast Asia.

Our research started with a geographic introduction of these islands, then we spoke about population assets after that we tackled about situations in these islands before Islam spreading, finally we show the role of Arab traders in spreading Islam there.

At the end we put a conclusion, appendix and a list of references
