The present paper attempts to stand at the semantic level of the words love and hatred in terms of their origin and their impact by the effects of interpretation due to their appearance in the Holy Qur'an.

The paper aims at clarifying different issues like the Holy Qur'an presents the Arabic community a new meaning to the words they already know.
