Considering the specificity of customs crimes, most legislators of the world agreed to deal with the perpetrators in a manner that is distinct from the general rules of criminalization and punishment.

Considering the wide scope in which customs violations are recorded and their connection to international and domestic trade, the importance of customs reconciliation enshrined in Article 265 of the Algerian Customs Code Customs disputes in a friendly manner before resorting to the judiciary in order to reduce the burden on the judicial bodies on the one hand, and the ability of the customs administration with its powers to collect the rights of the public treasury from rights, fees and financial sanctions in a friendly manner.
