The book falls within what is known as self-literature (autobiography, notes or diaries, confessions, intimate letters ...) This classification is subject of the French critic Philip Lejeune’s quotes in his talk about personal literature.

We tried during this study to shed light upon the effectiveness of the theory of intertextuality in revealing the secrets and meanings that this text conceals, as well as the attempt to establish its references.

We have, also, considered the possibility of openness to the theory of intertextuality and giving the authority for the reader to appeal to various critical statements in order to arrive at a specific interpretation.
