Abstract EN

Linguistics knew a wide openness on various fields, which resulted in the emergence of several sciences, the most important are: geographical linguistics, psycholinguistics, and text linguistics whose scholars are interested in a set of criteria, most notably: Choesion and Coherence.

Going back to the ancient Arab heritage, we find that the books of ancient Arab scholars have included, directly or indirectly, the textual criteria that underpin the text linguistics, and since the book Criticism of Poetry by Qoudama bin Jaafar dealt with poetic texts and showed its good from its badness, we have chosen to take it as a corpus to explire the aspects of Choesion and Coherence.
