Algeria is considered one of the countries in North Africa most affected by illegal immigration's phenomenon.

In recent years, there has been an increase in the waves of African immigration to and through Algeria due to the turmoil of the security situation in the Sahel region, which poses a security challenge for Algeria as a result of all the repercussions resulting from it, especially after Algeria's transformation from a transit country to a stable habitat.

The study found that the constant flow of illegal African immigrants to Algeria poses a threat to Algerian societal security.
