Abstract EN

The research aims to find out the relationship between academic achievement in math and deductive thinking substance among fourth-grade students through the scientific answer to the following question, "What is the relationship between deductive mathematical thinking and academic achievement." Accordingly, the researchers developed a null hypothesis as following: There is no correlation statistically significant at the level (.0.0) between the scores of students in achievement and grades of students in the test deductive thinking.

The researchers used the descriptive approach, the appropriateness of the nature of the goal of the research and hypothesis.

To investigate, it prepared the test, to measure the inferential be thinking of (81) in its final paragraph.

Researchers testing core sample was applied to search the (500) female students from the fourth grade science in the schools of the city of Baghdad (and of the General Directorate for Educational Baghdad's Karkh / 8) after conducting the statistical analysis of the paragraphs of the test.

The researchers used the following statistical tools: SPSS statistical analysis software and the neutralization (t) test to know the significance of the correlation coefficient.

The researchers reached the following results: 8.

The existence of positive correlation statistically significant relationship between the scores of students fourth grade science performance on the test of deductive thinking and achievement in mathematics.

The researchers recommended the need to educate students and teachers of the importance of mathematics and objectives related to thinking and deductive, and make some complementary studies to be studied.
