Abstract EN
The Church of Sofia's famous name for the strangest building in the world, Emperor Justinian began building this church in 532 m, and it took about five years to build it as officially inaugurated in 537 m, the first was not to build a church in a fashionable style in its time but was always inclined to invent a new one.
The architects of the Melodor and Anthymos Altarini were tasked with building this huge religious edifice.
They are both from small Asia and this is a clear demonstration of the progress of the small Asian construction students under the first Justinian era so that there is no reason to call engineers from Rome for the construction of Byzantine buildings, as it was a sign and a symbol of pomp that has been named over the ages, to be a religious centre and the highest peak in the art of Byzantine architecture.
