Abstract EN

This study aims to plan the creation of an electronic Arabic encyclopedia for children that reflect our Arab culture and civilization, as a source of knowledge instead of other non-Arab sources; therefore it identified the characteristics of available online children's encyclopedias.

In order to achieve the objective of the study, the survey method was used to reach the encyclopedias under study, in addition to the comparative approach according to the elements of the individual evaluation of the electronic references.

The study is concluded by setting an outline of an electronic Arabic encyclopedia that takes into account the special characteristics available in the most prominent electronic encyclopedias for children.
