Abstract EN

This research is a survey of homograph in Arabic and English.

In English, homograph is partial homonymy.

There are many definitions of homograph, yet it can be defined as a word similar to another word in spelling and different in pronunciation and meaning.

In Arabic, homographs are words shaped similarly with different meanings and pronunciation .

Absence of vowel points make the homographic words ambiguous.

So, homograph may create a problem in Arabic.

This problem is due to many reasons.
