This papers is intended to discuss the survivor game as a teaching methodology to keep students in the target language.

This game was created a long time ago as a way of introducing dynamic, team-oriented challenge.

The game offers an incentive to students from all the four motivational forms (social, intrinsic, achievement, and instrumental).

The researcher discussed many aspects to explanation the importance of this survivor game in the pedagogical environment and second language acquisition.

Survivor game as a simulated immersion language teaching method, the researcher discuss the educational system in Iraq in general and English language in specially.

The important aspect in this research is the focused skill, the principles, and the effectiveness of implementation of survivor games.
