Abstract EN

The distribution, can observed when studying the distribution of many socio-economic and other naturally occurring quantities.

These quantities tend to exhibit distributions with very heavy tails.

In this paper, two type of pareto distribution (Lomax distribution and doubly-exponential pareto distribution) with density functions whose tails decay more slowly than exponentially are fitted to transfer size data.

These types of distributions are known as heavy tail distributions (Feldmann and Whitt [3]).

The Lomax distribution shows a better fitting to the transfer size (in bytes) of documents returned to requesting client.
