The constitutional control is considered to be the most effective way to ensure the principle of the supremacy of the constitution.

as the president of the republic has the unlimited regulatory authority which he exercised in non-law areas and which is one of the aspects of the superiority of the executive power over the legislative one in Algeria, the Algerian constitutional founder imposed the constitutional control over this presidential regulatory authority which is exercised by the constitutional council by the notification mechanism to ensure that it does not violate the provisions of the constitution and the protection of the individuals’ rights as well as their freedoms from any abuse and to devote the state of the law.
