This research discusses the role of the computer in the lexicon, and attempts to answer the question of how far the transmitter affects the clarity of the message transferred from the dictionary maker to its user? To do this, the research discusses the mechanisms of the lexicon industry by first defining the target and the user, the transmitting medium, then collecting the lexicon entries and their phonetic, graphical, morphological, and semantic processing.

Finally, this research tries to study the impact of the nature of the dictionary (paper, electronic) on the dictionary itself.
