English Abstract

Factorial experiment has been conducted on the apricot transplant (Prunus armeniaca L.

) local cv.

"Zaghinia" in the nursery of Department of Horticulture and Landscape, College of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Mosul, Iraq, to study the effect of foliar application of chelated zinc Zn-EDTA with three levels (0, 50 and 100 mg.

l-1), two concentrations of Gibberellic acid ( 0 and 100 mg.

l-1) and three concentrations of kinetin (0, 125 and 250 mg.

l-1).

Transplant were sprayed three times in the growing season, the first on 20 April, the second on 10 May and third on 1st June.

The results obtained in this experiment showed that: foliar application of Zn-EDTA specially 50mg.

l-1 caused a significant increase on stem height and diameter, number of branches, leaves number per seedling, seedling leaf area and total chlorophyll concentration in leaves, while foliar spray with Gibberellic acid specially at 100mgGA3.

l-1 concentration caused significant increase in height and diameter of the main stem, vegetative and root dry weight and total chlorophyll in leaves, in the other hand, foliar spray with Kinetin specially on 125 mgKIN.

l-1 concentration caused a significant increase in height and diameter of the main stem, number of branches and number of leaves per seedling.

While foliar spray with 250 mgKIN.

l-1 caused a significant increase in leaf area, seedling leaf area and total chlorophyll of the leaves.

The interaction results between these factors (Zn-EDTA, Gibberellic acid and Kinetin) were caused a significant effect on height and diameter of the main stem, number of branches, number of leaves per seedling, seedling leaf area, root and total chlorophyll concentration in the leaves specially, in the foliar treatment with 50 mgZn.

On other hand, there are different interaction between the studied factors which give better results for other parameter.
