The host rang of N.
bruchi and N.
eichhorniae was tested on seventeen plants of the different plant families and the results showed that it was very limited because of the feeding oviposition ,hatching and pupation activities were positive only on the waterhyacinth plants, while negative on the other seventeen tested plants with some proportial variation in host specificity for N.
bruchi which fed on some other host plants and laid eggs but the last did not hatch.
